God's Timing

The Grace of God's Timing

God's Timing

A message about grace over human effort, using Elijah's burnout and David's patience to point toward God's slower, deeper timing.

  • Grace over frantic effort
  • The wilderness humbles pride
  • God completes his work across generations

Faith is not a nonstop sequence of success. God allows ups and downs, and the slow season may be a form of grace that protects us from pride.

Elijah had a righteous vision, but his approach became a one-man show. After a spectacular victory, the unchanged reality brought him into exhaustion and despair.

God answered Elijah not with another spectacle, but with a gentle whisper and a long-term plan. The work would continue through Elisha and future generations.

David models another way. Though anointed as king, he refused to seize the throne by force. The life of grace begins when we surrender our impatience to God's perfect timing.
